This Garmin Fishfinder 140 works SHAFT and is easy to read, even WITHIN BRILLIANT sunlight. It gives reliable information TOWARD EVERY ONE OF boat speeds. The price I got the unit for was 20% cheaper than PART OF of the local outlets. The JUST drawback is during installation. Due to the DIMENSION of the electrical connector, to attach the transducer cord to the back of the fishfinder, it makes it fairly difficult to thread through the hull of the boat, ONLY INSTANTLY in, the unit works fine.
