Their monitoring is interactive. I can check on my cell or internet oh how my house is doing @ anytime ! Other companies charge you an arm plus leg since this feature.bottom line, ge simon xt is a great system to install, battery backup can be mod. to add more batteries (daisy chained since longer backup power) can use both landline plus cellular since interaction plus all wireless ! Peace of mind !
